Association of Academic Radiology (AAR) 2025 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, California

This year, the Annual Meeting of the Association of Academic Radiology (AAR) for 2025 took place at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California, in early March. The UCI Radiological Sciences Department is a proud partner of AAR and this year we had many faculty and trainees participate in the conference.

Our resident, Angellica Gordon, MD, was selected to participate in the AAR Radiology Resident Academic Leadership Development Program. This program provides focused mentorship, leadership, and academic development activities to a group of high-potential second-year (PGY-3) diagnostic radiology residents in order to better prepare for their transition into successful careers as leaders in academic radiology.

From Associate Professor Gelareh Sadigh, MD, to our department chair, Vahid Yaghmai, MD, our faculty members had a big showing at AAR 2025. See a few of the highlights below:

Daniel Chow covering the topic, ”Revisiting the Path: Midcareer Insights on Renegotiating Time and Resources" at AAR25
Gelareh Sadigh, MD, was the moderator for a session titled: “How to Secure Resources and Time: Negotiating Strategies for Early and Mid-Career Academics.” This session also featured our own Daniel Chow, MD, covering the topic, "Revisiting the Path: Midcareer Insights on Renegotiating Time and Resources.”

 

Drs. Amir Imanzadeh and Gelareh Sadigh presented on Population Health Databases during the AAR25 session: ”Scientific and Health Policy Research, Part 4: Policy and Clinical Effectiveness in Radiology (supported by the American College of Radiology).”
