Healthcare professionals from across disciplines gathered at UC Irvine on Oct. 23, 2025, for the second annual Business of Interprofessional Healthcare Conference, examining how data analytics and artificial intelligence are transforming collaborative patient care.

Presented by the UC Irvine Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences Interprofessional Education & Practice (IPEP) Collaborative, the conference brought together physicians, nurses, pharmacists, epidemiologists, healthcare administrators and business leaders to explore emerging technologies reshaping the healthcare landscape.

The event featured two expert panels that generated significant discussion among attendees. The first panel addressed emerging trends in leadership and innovation in interprofessional healthcare delivery, while the second focused on best practices in data collection and utilization to address complex patient care needs.

Throughout the discussions, trust emerged as a central theme. Panelists emphasized the importance of building a culture of reliability while ensuring that data supports, rather than overwhelms, clinicians.
