Lung Cancer Research Foundation Advisory Board Welcomes Misako Nagasaka Posted: 2025-08-19 Source: UC Irvine School of Medicine News Type: Features & Briefs share The Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) expanded its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) by five new members, including Misako Nagasaka, MD, PhD. As an associate professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology in the UC Irvine School of Medicine, Nagasaka will help the SAB guide research investment priorities and provide expertise on relevant lung cancer data. “The LCRF Scientific Advisory Board is a brilliant and effective group of lung cancer research experts,” remarked Kathryn O’Donnell, PhD, LCRF’s SAB chair. “By bringing these experts into the group, we can more readily adapt to a changing research landscape while achieving the strategic objectives that will accelerate the pace of lung cancer research. It is my honor to welcome our newest members.” Nagasaka brings a wealth of experience in molecular targeted therapy and immunotherapy in thoracic malignancies, with a special focus in medical ethics. “It is certainly an exciting time to be a thoracic oncologist,” says Nagasaka, “and I am excited to join my colleagues in moving the science forward.” Read the full LCRF press release.
