Jeremy Harris, MD, assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, was awarded an American Cancer Society grant to further his work exploring innovative treatments to improve outcomes for lung cancer. His proposal entitled “A novel method for treating lung tumors with the combination of electrical fields and radiation therapy: a pilot study” aims to better define the role of tumor-treating electrical currents as an adjunct for lung cancer. It has the potential to improve the efficacy of treatment and lead to enhanced cure rates.
