Claire Henchcliffe Named AUPN President Elect

The Association of University Professors of Neurology (AUPN) recently named Claire Henchcliffe, MD, DPhil, UC Irvine School of Medicine’s Stanley van den Noort Professor and Chair of Neurology, president elect.

She has served on the AUPN executive council since 2021. The organization's mission is to advance and strengthen the academic neurology community through education, mentorship and the sharing of best practices among leaders in academic neurology.

Henchcliffe's clinical and research focus is on Parkinson’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, including working to develop new Parkinson’s disease therapeutics such as stem cell-based and gene therapy interventions.
