Celebrating a Successful 2024 Otolaryngology Updates Course

In February, the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery hosted its annual International Otolaryngology Updates Course, with over 2300 registered participants. Led by Course Director, Brian Wong, MD, the virtual course included over 90 national and international experts in the field providing half-hour lectures around the clock for 48 hours. Such a course is a huge logistic undertaking, and is made possible thanks to the tremendous efforts of the student, resident and staff moderators. 

The virtual course has changed the landscape for how continuing education can be delivered, and now participants around the globe look forward to the 48 hours of the year when there is a CNN-style otolaryngology news network providing updates to clinical practice.
