Celebrating Edward Kuan's, MD, Induction into the Triological Society Posted: 2022-04-01 Source: UCI School of Medicine News Type: Features & Briefs share The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is delighted to announce that Edward Kuan, MD, has been accepted into the Triological Society. He will be inducted at the Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meeting (COSM) in April 2022. Attaining this fellowship is a badge of respect in the specialty and Kuan deserves acknowledgement for this hard work. The Triological Society is one of the oldest and most prestigious societies in the field of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, with inducted fellows required to submit a thesis of their academic work which is reviewed by a designated committee. Only 5% of otolaryngologists nationwide are inducted into the society through this process. Under Roger Crumley's, MD, department leadership, UCI has a strong history and tradition of involvement with the Triological Society, with more than half of the department faculty being fellows. These fellows include: Crumley, William Armstrong, MD, Brian Wong, MD, Hamid Djalilian, MD, Sunil Verma, MD, Harrison Lin, MD, and Kuan. The department would like to extend their gratitude to these faculty members for commitment to advancing the UCI Discover, Teach and Heal mission.
