Gerard Slobogean, MD, MPH, FRCSC is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon and researcher at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He specializes in complex fracture care and upper extremity reconstruction, focusing on revision surgeries for non-union and mal-union fractures and shoulder and elbow joint replacements. He also treats complex upper extremity injuries and traumatic pelvis, acetabular and lower limb injuries.

Slobogean is actively involved in training the next generation of orthopedic surgeon-scientists.
