The Pacific AIDS Education & Training Center – Orange County & Inland Empire, in collaboration with the University of California, Irvine, Division of Infectious Diseases and the Orange County Health Care Agency, welcomes you to the 34th Annual HIV/AIDS on the Front Line.

The challenges posed by the evolving worldwide epidemic of HIV/AIDS remain monumental. The goal of this conference is to provide healthcare professionals the opportunity to enhance clinical competence, enrich compassionate caring skills, and identify community resources for people living with HIV and those at risk for HIV. The conference brings together key leaders in the field with those providing day-to-day care, with the goal of providing state-of-the-art information on HIV management and prevention which can be implemented by providers in their daily practices.

Designation Statement

The University of California, Irvine School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

A non-physician Healthcare Professional certificate of attendance for CEU purposes will be provided upon request. Non-physicians may submit the HP certificate to their own credentialing board (nursing, pharmacy, social work, etc.) to see if they can obtain transferrable CEU’s.

Geeta Gupta, MD, is the Director of the Pacific AIDS Education & Training Center at UCI School of Medicine. She has been providing care to HIV patients and been involved with HIV education for almost three decades. Her focus has been the education of health professionals on topics related to HIV/AIDS. In her quest to provide better healthcare for HIV infected individuals, she delivers educational presentations locally, around the country, and internationally. At UCI Medical Center, she also supervises clinical preceptorships for health care workers who desire to become more proficient in delivering care to HIV infected patients. After obtaining her medical degree at Harvard Medical School, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at UCI Medical Center. She has been on faculty at University of California, Irvine for the past 28 years.
