    About Me

Professional Interests: Academia, mentorship and advocating for underrepresented populations are very important to me as a first-generation college graduate. I hope to one day help develop pipeline programs for early engagement with youth to help encourage careers in medicine and other sciences. I also have an interest in medical education, so working with medical students or residents once I complete residency is definitely something I see myself doing as well.

Why UCI? Many reasons! For residency, I wanted to train in a program that served diverse and underserved patient populations in a Level 1 Trauma setting. I had the opportunity to rotate through UCI as a medical student, and the supportive culture created by the people/program, along with incredible clinical training, immediately stood out to me. The residents’ preparedness was phenomenal. Being located near family is a huge plus as well.
