Rhea Gandhi, BS

I grew up in San Diego, California, where I fostered my deep love for reading and painting along with other aspects of the humanities. Those experiences shaped my passion for the humanistic core of medicine. I believe that understanding different forms of expression allows me to learn about the different ways people think about and see the world. Throughout college, I was involved with transmedia research, which used photovoice as a medium to share individuals' experiences of trauma and the impact it had on their physical and mental health. Creating an art gallery to highlight these voices was immensely powerful and allowed me to see how the humanities can form community connections and be vital to the healing and health journeys of many. As a member of Plexus, I am excited to constantly expand my worldview and help amplify the voices of our contributors!
