Hi everyone! My name is Devan, and I am an MS3 originally from Ventura, CA. I finished my bachelor's from Harvard in 2019 and spent two years prior to medical school working for a global health nonprofit in Panama and then as a 911-response EMT. Staying on top of medical school material can be a challenge — the courses truly are fire hoses of information. For me, the "slow burn" approach to studying is the way to go. Keeping a schedule and putting in consistent work each day helps keep my stress levels low throughout each academic block. Meanwhile, it allows me to have more consistent free time to do other things I love. When I am not studying, I like to get outside, whether that's surfing, running, hiking or playing sports with friends.
