Colin Smith, MD

Dr. Colin Smith completed Duke’s combined Internal Medicine-Psychiatry residency and Global Health Residency in 2022. He is currently a practicing internist and psychiatrist at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Arizona. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology-Neuroscience from Sacred Heart University, Master of Science in Global Health from Duke University and MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences under the aegis of the Indian Health Service. He is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and the Deputy Chief Clinical Consultant for Psychiatry at the Indian Health Service. Colin’s research interests include racial inequities in mental health services.
