Alma Rechav Ben Natan

HI!! My name is Alma, and I grew up in Tel Aviv and moved to San Francisco after high school! I went to UC Berkeley for undergrad and majored in neuroscience and went on to work as a CRC in the Spine Center at UCSF for a couple of years before starting med school! I came into medical school with a special interest in neurosurgery, but currently, I am exploring other options as well and am interested in other procedural specialties, including General Surgery and OB/GYN. The transition into medical school was definitely not an easy one, but I made myself try different study strategies until I found what worked for me and how to also make time for my hobbies (climbing, hiking, camping, dinner parties, travel), have social time and outdoors time! I found the (unsolicited) amount of advice I received when starting quite overwhelming, but if you have any questions about MS1 or just want to chat please reach out!
