BSL-3 laboratory training is for laboratory staff, managers, biosafety professionals and individuals directly or indirectly involved in work in high containment facilities. Our courses are designed to prepare individuals for safely working in and around BSL-3 laboratories and include practical and didactic learning.

Courses are scheduled several times throughout the year.

Our training methods focus on a core concept of risk assessment and management for all laboratory personnel, including research staff, operations and maintenance and first responders.

Group Training

  • Private training available for groups of 6–7 individuals.
  • On-site training for groups of 8 or more for most courses.

 Additional Information

  • Registration fees include course materials & lunches.
  • UC personnel can attend courses free of charge.
  • All training should be followed by site-specific training.
