Supporting Student Success All gifts made to the UCI School of Medicine Alumni Chapter support the greatest needs of our students, as defined by our Alumni Chapter Board of Directors. In addition to alumni, our board includes a student representative from each medical student class to provide insight on these needs. Over the years, our generous alumni have sponsored the following through donations: Student Scholarships and Endowments Student Awards gifted at Honors Night and Grad Day Summer Research International Ultrasound Trips Student Recreational Events Gap funding for medical student organizations And so much more! Alumni Funding Opportunities Some of our alumni have created various impactful initiatives and endeavors. White Coat Endowment Fund The UCI School of Medicine class of 1968 created this fund to support the expenses associated with new medical student white coats. Support the Gift of White Coats MD/MPH Scholarship The UCI School of Medicine class of 1972 created this fund to provide scholarships for students in the School of Medicine pursuing the joint MD/MPH degree. Support the Pursuit of MD/MPH Medical Education The UCI School of Medicine class of 1973 is supporting this fund to support revenue and all expenses related to medical education for medical students and residents. Support Medical Education Alumni-Sponsored Travel Fund for Medical Students Endowment The UCI School of Medicine class of 1986 created this fund to provide an award/funds for medical students to travel and participate in a program that would enhance their medical school experience. Support Student Travel Once this fund reaches the $25,000 minimum for establishing an endowed fund at UCI, it will transition into an endowment to support medical students for many years to come.
