From asthma and obesity to autism and epilepsy, UCI’s Department of Pediatrics physicians are national leaders in creating new pathways for diagnosis and therapy.

Blending cutting-edge therapies, diverse training and compassionate care, our physicians work tirelessly to bring new clinical treatments to the bedside at three major Southern California medical centers: Children's Hospital of Orange County, UCI Medical Center in Orange and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital.

Consistent with our forward-looking mission, we also are making strides toward addressing today’s most complex challenges in a creative way. We’re focused on facilitating a better transition of care from pediatric to adult healthcare, creating a medical home for children with chronic diseases and disabilities, serving underserved gender-diverse youth and adults, and improving communication between providers.

Additionally, in collaboration with strategic thinkers across the university, the region and the country, we are working to ensure our physicians continue to provide the best quality of care in the most efficient manner to all children in the region, particularly in these times of enormous national change in the funding and delivery of healthcare.
