Department of Physiology & Biophysics

Physiology is the foundation for the practice of Medicine: How things work, what can go wrong, how to fix it. Biophysics provides the tools, both instrumentation and analytical, to understand mechanisms. Faculty labs interact at the interfaces of immunogy, neuroscience, and cancer and at the molecular, cellular, and systems levels.
