Discover IHOPE, a nine-month hybrid fellowship focused on advancing healthy aging and longevity through whole-person care. Clinicians gain practical, evidence-informed skills to help older persons maintain health, independence, and quality of life as they age.

  • Primary Care & Multidisciplinary Clinicians: Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Women's Health.  

 

Eligibility 

Open to primary care and multidisciplinary clinicians, including MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, PharmDs.  

What You Will Learn 

Through this fellowship, participants gain practical skills to: 

  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Perform targeted integrated geriatric health and geriatric behavioral health assessments and accurately identify early symptoms of mild-to-moderate psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders (e.g., dementia).
     
  • Geriatric & Behavioral Health Care: Apply the 5Ms framework of geriatric medicine to diagnose and manage complex behavioral health conditions, trauma and substance use disorders (SUDs).
     
  • Evidence-Informed Therapies: Deliver targeted interventions using geriatric health, cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, motivational interviewing and appropriate medications.
